The deputy commander of Intelligence Puntland Service (IPS)
Abdi Qani Yousuf Guled has been by unknown gunman in
Garowe, the capital of northeastern Somalia’s regional
autonomy of Puntland, witnesses told Waagacusub.
A masked man armed with pistol fired several bullets at
Yousuf who was sitting outside hotel in Garowe.
The killer escaped unharmed as the area was circled by
the Puntland security forces.
The police began investigations over ambush attack which
left the IPS offer dead.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the killing
but unconfirmed reports say the Islamist group of Al-Shabab
carried out the killing.
