Somalia’s new Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke
displayed his political agenda to put an end to the
country’s long standing conflict, reports told
Waagacusub Media on Tuesday.
Mr. Sharmarke, former president’s son, who was named
last week as the new prime minister said yesterday that
he was ready to negotiate with the rebels to solve
matters in peaceful way.
“My schedule is to enter dialogue with the rebels and
meet then wherever they stay and my plan is that some of
the Islamist rebels will include in my cabinet,” said
Sharmarke speaking with the reporters in Djibouti.
He said time of war had ended and it is high time to be
gathered round table for talks to end the hostility.
Locals hailed the remarks by the PM as positive step
towards peace and stability.
