Somalia: President and PM discuss over cabinet´s selection.

Somalia's president Sharif Sheik Ahmed and his prime minister Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke have had a consultation meeting in Djibouti on Sunday over the selection of the new cabinet ministers which the PM is expected to form the coming days, official sources told Waagacusub.

the officials discussed in their meeting over the possibility of forming more effective ministers for the unity government as president Ahmed suggested that Ahmed Abdisalan should be named as the foreign minister who the president said he had held posts in former government as deputy prime minister and minister of information.

they agreed that the figures holding the ministerial posts should be highly educated and have political experience, sources close to the aides confirmed.

some reports say that president told the PM that he is independent for the selection of his cabinet.

initial reports say there have been a number of ministers on the table and selected, according to the website of Radio Free Somalia which published the names of six ministers of the new government.
