Former mayor of Mogadishu, the
capital of Somalia Mohamed Omar Habeb ‘Mohamed Dhere’
who is now in Nairobi, Kenya said on Tuesday he will
work with the new government led by Sharif Sheik Ahmed.
Mr. Habeb told reporters in
Nairobi that he is ready to participate in the efforts
aimed to restore peace and stability in the country.
“I will not be destroyer but constructor in my country,”
said Habeb adding that he is still in the politics and
want to form a new party backed by his supporters.
He said he will go back to Mogadishu to join his people
and attend in the operations aimed to stabilize the city
.
Habeb, former warlord, accused some of the former
government officials of being behind his arrest by the
Ethiopian troops during their presence in Somalia early
this year.
