Aweys, who was a military colonel before joining to the Islamisty groups in 1990s hails from Hawiye clan which has dominance in southern Somalia, is attributed to be hardline Islamist connceted to Al-Qaeda Network.

This man can not touch in his home-grown regions of Mudug and Galgadud in central Somalia where it is now under the control of Ahlu-sunna Waljama Sufi Islamist group who see him as the founder of the Al-Qaeda linked Islamist radical groups.

The news came as the ARS spokesman Iman Bashir Dholayre insisted that their leader's trip to Somali is about to support the government but it is related to consult with his allied group of Hizbul Islam in Somali and solve some differences among the party.

Mr. Bashir who had ruled out his recognition to the country's government described as unlucky if Aweys joins the government without consultation.

"leaving and hiding from his group was a behavior known to Sharif Sheik Ahmed and if Aweys do so he will be the same," said Bashir.

some of ARS officials see the trip by Aweys in Khartoum as a matter he is gonna join the government of Sharif Sheik Ahmed and beleive that Dahir Aweys abondened them in Eritrea.
