We the Somali Diaspora In North America and Europe, as a matter of principle and fairness propose that the post of premiership go to Dr. Mohamoud A. Jama Sifir. Dr. Jama, demonstrated to the Somali Diaspora that he can deal with every body regardless of their political, social and religious beliefs. He is the right man at the right time. He played a constructive role in setting up a political agenda based on peace and dialogue.

Dr. Jama's peace mission called on both former UIC, TFG and others to commit themselves to complete cessation of hostilities. To establish a joint mechanism, formulated a strategy for interim security arrangement.

on Nov. 27, 2006 has opted for peace mission between the ICU and TFG to ward off the looming war over Somalia and the region. He appealed and called for dialogue to save the country for further devastation, perhaps more crippling than what the country has witnessed during the 18 years.

He is a man who can craft a new form of nation-state capable of providing a lasting solution of peace and stability. Dr. Jama's intellectual capacity and patience have attracted a lot of Somali diaspora during his tour in Europe and UN headquarters in Switzerland and New York, for hia genuine desire to solve the Somali crisis through peaceful means. He is a man who have attracted both International observers and of the Somali expatriates, as well as major donors, as a man whom they can deal with and can build a civil society based on the rule of law, human dignity and peace for all in Somalia.

We, The Somali Diaspora in North America and Europe, avails itself of this opportunity to remind and request the interim-president of Somalia Sheikh Sharif and the Parliament that the premiership should go on merit-basis to Dr. Mohamoud A. Jama, in accordance with the interest of Somalia and the whole region.
